Panic stations as May sets off on surprise Brussels trip

Following the news that Theresa May is to travel to Brussels later today (16.10.17) for a dinner with EU President Jean-Claude Juncker and chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier.

Alex Mayer MEP said: "I'm pleased the Tories have once again heeded Keir Starmer's advice to try and inject some urgency into the negotitions.

There is an increasing prospect that we will not reach a deal with the EU before time runs out. No deal is not a viable option and anyone who spouts rubbish that it is, clearly does not have the best interests of our country at heart."
