The newest MP in the House of Commons, Gareth Snell, was back where it first began, the Suffolk town of Stowmarket on Saturday 15 April. Gareth Snell MP recently won the the Stoke-on-Trent Central by-election but he first got involved in politics in Suffolk.
His grandfather Ron Snell was mayor of Stowmarket and a member of Mid Suffolk council.
Mr Snell will join Labour MEP Alex Mayer, Labour County Council leader Sandy Martin and local members to campaign in Stowmarket South ward, where his Grandfather was a councillor between 2001 and 2005.
Mr Snell hopes to inspire young people to get involved in politics just like he first did in Suffolk aged 15.
