Herts Euro MEP Quizzed By Local Sixth-Formers

Local sixth formers from Yavneh College quizzed Hertfordshire MEP Alex Mayer about all things political today (Friday 27th April) as she spoke to their Politics Society.

Ms Mayer talked about a day in the life of a politician, the Brexit negotiations, and why it's important for all people to get involved in democracy and vote in next week's local elections.

Alex Mayer MEP said: "It was a lively discussions with some really tough questions. These are definitely troubling times, but with Yavneh College's budding politicians I'm definitely "I hope they'll continue to keep up the pressure, engage with local politicians, and vote for the first time if they can on May 3rd."

Executive Headteacher Mr Lewis said: "We're delighted that Alex has taken the time to come and talk to our students, guest speakers are a key part of ensuring our students engage with society. Credit goes to our active Politics Society for organising the visit."
