Help Make World’s Longest Film To Get Girls Into School

271601Can you star in the world’s longest film? Local Euro MP Alex Mayer has made her voice count and now she is urging East of England residents to join in too.

Ms Mayer has recorded a video of her with the number 271601. Now she wants East of England residents to select their choice of number between 1 and 130 million and join in the ONE Campaign’s mission to get girls into school and their film into the record books.

130 million is the number of girls across the world who don't have access to education. The ONE Campaign are counting them, one by one. So record yourself with the number of your choice between one and 130 million and it will be stitched together to make the world’s longest film.

Ms Mayer selected number 271601 (the number of votes she received in the 2014 election) and recorded a message to go alongside other supporters including Malala Yousafzai, former New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark and Channel 4 News presenter Cathy Newman.

Alex Mayer MEP said “I’m really proud to support this campaign because ever girl deserves the right to go to school and get a good education. Girls count so please support this campaign and makes your voice count too.”
