Brexit Threat to Online Child Safety

UK Safer Internet Day is under threat warned Euro MP Alex Mayer in the European Parliament today.

Kids and their parents get top tips on the annual awareness day with advice on how to tackle the cyber bullies, spot online stranger danger and avoid being a victim of revenge porn.
It is the biggest safer internet day in Europe and last year reached a whopping 2.8 million kids and 2.5 million mums and dads.
But UK Safer Internet Day is 100% funded by the European Union.
Speaking in a Euro Parliament debate Ms Mayer, who is an Internet Watch Foundation Champion, said:
"The next tech savvy generation face new dangerous challenges.
“No one who voted for Brexit, voted to make the Internet more dangerous for children. We must save Safer Internet Day. "
