Blue Sky Thinking For Cross Continent Competition

Budding young photographers are urged to get snapping photographs of the sky as part of a special cross-European competition. The wining snap from the UK will be turned into a flag which will flutter alongside 27 other flags outside the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

Called “One Sky Flags”, the project is the brain child of artist Yvonne Lee Schultz to highlight that we all live under one sky. She then plans to go global with even more flags at a further exhibition at the UN in New York.

The competition is open to all 9–14 years olds and the closing date for entries is 1 May.

Ms Mayer said: “With our flat, open landscape you can get some amazing photos of the East Anglian sky. So whether it is sunrise or sunset, clouds, the moon or stars, I look forward to seeing some fantastic, creative photos. The sky’s the limit.”
