Alex Mayer MEP Backs TOPCATS Charity Appeal For ‘Shedloads’ Of Money

TOPCATSSuffolk MEP Alex Mayer launched an appeal by Pakefield charity TOPCATS for ‘shedloads’ of money to convert an old shack into a dedicated unit for adults with additional needs.

Ms Mayer will met with Fundraising Officer Sara Poppy to hear ambitious plans for a new independent unit teaching life skills to it’s registered users.

TOPCATS, a small local charity in Pakefield, offers opportunities and activities to young people aged 5 to 30. Currently facilities are shared between the young adults and children but the new resource would allow a dedicated area for teaching life skills and supporting work experience.

Ms Mayer said “TOPCATS does amazing work helping young adults develop their life skills but I know how much more they could achieve if this ambitious development comes to fruition. I wish them every success in their appeal and would encourage people to support this fantastic cause.”
